MINICARS
Driving is something that many people know how to do but with so many driving games out there like Minicars, you'd wonder why there isn't a car that uses a controller to function. This is a discussion for another day since you won't be using a controller to drive your small car around a small track to win a small race. Though the elements may be small, the thrills are real as your car can tear up the asphalt to struggle for first place. Just know that if you struggle too much, your racing career will end sooner and more fiery than you realize.
About Minicars
There are plenty of top-down racing games that give you the full picture of the track and leave it up to you to wonder whether they're real or remote-controlled cars. This game may be of the latter but with more added in to make the racing a greater spectacle. It never takes itself seriously and the driving mechanics are loose to make your car the vehicular equivalent of a ragdoll to a certain degree. But that's the challenge and it's humorous to watch your car turn and drift as you try to get a handle on the physics so that the victory is earned.
How to Play
Minicars is a 2D top-down racing game that you can play with just the mouse. You click and hold the Left Mouse Button to make the car accelerate while the cursor handles the steering. The car will always drive to the cursor's current position and will slow once it reaches it. The goal of the game is to win all of the races across each of the different tracks. You'll always be controlling the yellow car.
When the race begins, you'll be placed behind the finish line in one of the back positions. After the countdown, you're free to start accelerating and driving as best as you can. As the car drives around the track, there's a high likelihood of bumping into the other cars or hitting objects outside of the track. If the car bumps too many times, it'll explode before respawning a few seconds later. You can get temporary speed boosts by collecting speed power-ups that will appear periodically on the track as the race goes on. Once you've completed all the laps, the race will end.
Tips and Tricks
Fast and loose describe the handling of your car so you need to practice driving by leading. Since it follows the cursor, you'll want to keep it at a moderate distance so that the car doesn't make sharp or sudden adjustments that can cause it to spin out.
